About Martial Art Belts
Martial Art belts come in different colours depending on the style of martial arts being practiced. Each colour of belt represents a stage in the student's training journey. Students start with a white belt, often seen as a sign of new beginnings. They gradually move through the coloured ranks of yellow, orange, green, blue and brown, with black belt representing the highest level. Earning a black belt takes dedication, consistent training and often many years of commitment, along with the time, cost and physical challenges that come with progressing through the grades. Some dojos use transitional belts with coloured stripes as an extra way to encourage younger students and recognise their progress between grades.
Special Requests
Customers most often request to have the student's name embroidered on one end of the belt, with the Dojo name or martial arts discipline on the other, along with the appropriate number of dan bars.
Many customers choose to personalise their belts with special embroidery requests such as double-line embroidery, dated dan bars commemorating the date of grading, names translated into Korean Hangul or Japanese Katakana, or professional digitising of their dojo logo ready for embroidering directly onto the belt. I have also had requests to embroidery gold stripes down the centre of the whole belts. Email me directly for special requests at hello.martialartlady@outlook.com

Production & delivery
I aim to have you belt ready and delivered to you within 15 working days.
Every belt is designed and hand crafted to order. No two belts are exactly the same and I create your belt to your exact specifications rather than using any templates. I do keep customers up to date to ensure that they will be happy with the end product. I will email a design to you and ask that you check not only that you are happy with the design but any spellings too.
As each belt is unique to the customer, each belt may take a different time to produce. I will start by designing your belt on my software. All text, logos, dan bars etc have to be measured precisely to ensure that when embroidered they will fit neatly in the centre of the belt and within a 20cm length to avoid text being lost into the knot when the belt is tied. I always test designs on test belts before embroidering them on the actual belt -this takes time and has a cost implication.
I wanted to sell good quality belts and so some of my stock is sourced from Germany and South Korea. Whilst I do keep a small stock of belts should I require to order more for your order there can be wait times for this stock to arrive. Please order from me in plenty of time.
I will send your completed belt using Royal mail special delivery - once posted I will let you know via email and send you a tracking number.
Payments
Payment is due in advance - you can pay by BACS if you order via email and I will give this to you upon acceptance of my quote. If you order via this website most major debit/credit cards are accepted. Due to the expense of the belts and the time taken to get each one perfect, I do not start any work until payment has been received.
Dojo Discounts
I am happy to offer a 10% discount where 5 belts or more are being ordered.
Problems with your order?
I always strive for excellence, however despite my best effort, occasionally things go wrong - we're only human. If I make a mistake, my priority is always to put it right and ensure a high standard of customer service. I therefore offer a no quibble guarantee on all products that in the event of a fault with an item I will replace it free of any charge on return of the item.
Where the customer's instructions were in error I am happy to offer a replacement item at a 10% reduced price as a gesture of goodwill.
Minor imperfections
All orders are accepted on the understanding that minor imperfections may occur as part of the embroidery process.
